From Wildlife Stories: ‘The White Lion’ During our afternoon safari in the impressive Pumba Private Game Reserve – a vast game reserve of about 7,000 hectares – we had one clear goal: to find the rare white lion.
For hours we trudged from one end of the reserve to the other, across rolling plains, dense bushfields and rugged hills. As the afternoon slowly turned to evening, the light grew softer and softer, and the chances of finding him seemed to diminish with every minute.
But just as we reached the far edge of the park, high atop a ridge, we finally saw it.
By now it was 7:40 p.m. – far from ideal conditions for photography. The last of the daylight still hung dimly over the landscape, creating long shadows and slowly fading colors. Yet at that moment, that no longer mattered. We had found it.
Our ranger sensed perfectly how special this moment was and deftly steered the safari car up the mountain on a hidden path. With every meter, the excitement grew. Once at the top, we discovered not only the white lion, but also his lioness at his side. For a brief moment, everything seemed to fall completely silent.
Almost immediately after, the male began to slowly descend the mountain. What happened next took us completely by surprise: an extraordinary and fascinating interaction between the two lions. As he walked down, the lioness called out to him – and he answered. Their powerful calls echoed back and forth across the landscape, as if we were witnessing an intense and almost intimate conversation in the African wilderness.

Extra finish single-sided premium matte (gloss is not recommended) for diBond & Forex
Laminate provides extra protection against scratches and damage. Our premium laminate is of polymer quality. Every laminate tends to shrink over time. Polymer laminate shrinkage occurs significantly less and more slowly. Without a finish, the print is susceptible to scratches and shows a little “harder” which looks less professinal in your interior!
Why gloss laminate is not recommended and does not come standard.
- Animals get too bright colors with extra contrast which therefore quickly becomes too busy
- Gives reflections → and the shiny surface attracts more attention than the image itself
- Colors become popping, are not suitable for wildlife photography
Matte laminate is our preferred choice and gives a matte, satin look.
- It is a thin matte top layer over your print
- No reflections → quieter image (important on the wall)
- Colors become slightly softer/egalier>
- Gives a luxurious, gallery-like appearance
- Protects against scratches, dirt and UV
Conclusion: Matte laminate looks more “professional” and calm in your interior!
Our hanging plates allow you to easily attach the wall decoration to the wall. Depending on the size of the plate and the material, the correct suspension system with the correct carrying capacity is automatically chosen.
By using our spacers you can mount your sheet material ‘floating’. The spacers have a diameter of 13 mm and the free space between the back of the sheet material and the wall is 19 mm. Available in: black/chrome
The wall decorations are available upon request in: various sizes, both landscape and portrait. In addition, different color variations are possible, such as black and white, sepia or other desired color treatments, so that the wall decoration perfectly matches your interior and personal style. Almost any size can be realized, with a minimum production size of 610 × 610 mm and a maximum production size of 145 cm x 235 cm.
To ensure the highest quality and a perfect cut, you will receive an A4 proof in pdf format in advance for checking. This way, you can calmly review the composition, cropping, colors and aspect ratio before the final wall decoration goes into production.
We charge an upfront fee of €9.50 for the proof and the corresponding quotation request. Using ourRequest Budgetform, you can easily communicate your requirements and request a sample PDF. Only after agreeing on the budget and proofs do we start production. In this way, you are assured of an exclusive end result that completely suits your needs.
